Evan Rachel Wood was conceived in Raleigh, North Carolina on September 7th 1987. Her father, Ira David Wood III (a theatre actor, writer, director) is her father. Sara Wood Wood is her mother and actress. She is the daughter of Dana Wood, a musician and Ira David Wood III, an actor. Evan as well as her brothers appeared in the Theatre In The Park, Raleigh in the same place where her father serves as the director. She was just five when she auditioned for the role in Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994). Along with her mom and brother Ira the family moved to Los Angeles in 1996.
