Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American pop-punk
band was founded in the year 2009. The group is composed of Kendall Schmidt and
James Maslow along with Logan Henderson and Carlos PenaVega. They signed their
first contract with Nick Records in 2009. Then, Columbia Records transferred
them to their new label. They appeared on Nickelodeon's television series, Big
Time Rush. The show aired from November 28th in 2009 until July 25, 2013. The
pilot episode featured "Big Time Rush" The group's initial single for
promotion. Three studio albums were released by the group: BTR in 2010 and
Elevate (2011) as well as 24/Seven (2013). The group in 2014 was on break for
an indefinite time that ran through 2021. The group then returned to live shows
and then released "Call it Like I See The Album". Nickelodeon signed
Big Time Rush to a record deal in 2009 concurrently with the television series,
Big Time Rush. Nickelodeon also joined forces with Columbia/Epic Label Group
for production and original music. The show's debut single, "Big Time
Rush" came out on November 29, 2009. The announcement was made by
Nickelodeon the show first broadcast in the U.S. in November 2009, until it was
eventually made available worldwide. The series premiered on a special preview
of the series. The show is currently the show's theme. Promo singles like
"City is Ours", "Any Kind of Guy" as well as others were
released during the show. Big Time Rush remixed "Famous" by Play. The
song was released to iTunes on June 29 2010. After its series premiere the second
song, "Halfway There", became available on iTunes on April 27, 2010.
The band soon became their first chart-topping song on the Billboard Hot 100.
It hit 93 on the list thanks to the digital sales. Big Time Rush's second
single, "Till You Forget About You" was released on September 21,
2010. The purpose of the release was to announce their debut album. The album,
BTR was released on October 11 on the 11th of October, 2010. The album climbed
to number 3 on Billboard 200 and sold 67,000 copies within the first week.
