Steve Aoki

Steve Aoki was created in Miami, Florida on the 30th November 1977. American electro-house musician, record producer, D.J. Music executive. He is the third child of Rocky Aoki and Chizuru Kbayashi. His father was a former wrestler who also founded the restaurant chain Benihana. He has two older siblings: sister Kana who is usually known as Grace as her middle name Grace as well as brother Kevin (owner of Doraku Sushi). His half-sister is Devon Aoki, a model and actress. He was born in Newport Beach, California and graduated from Newport Harbor High School, which was where he played as a member of the badminton varsity team. He then attended UC Santa Barbara, graduating with two B.A. He earned two degrees: one in sociology and one in feminist studies. He was a college student who produced records by himself and held underground concerts in his Biko area at the Santa Barbara Student Housing Cooperative. For its use as a venue for concerts, the place was named The Pickle Patch. He was also involved in student activism at UCSB and was the founding member of a Revolutionary Anti-Imperialist League chapter on campus. In his early 20s Dim Mak had started his own record label, that he named Dim Mak after his hero from childhood Bruce Lee. In March 2010 He released I'm in the House, a collaboration with the Zuper Blahq, the alter-ego of The Black Eyed Peas singer will.i.am. The track made it to No. 29 on the U.K. Singles Chart in its first week of release. The track climbed to the top five on both the U.K. Indie Chart and the U.K. Dance Chart. The song was seen on MTV's Jersey Shore, as well as in the feature film Piranha and the trailer for Think Like A Man. In a May interview with HitQuarters Lucas Secon, the producer-songwriter, confirmed that he and Rivers Cuomo had just worked on a single. Pollstar has named him the highest-grossing North America dance artist from performances in 2012. His collaborations include artists like Afrojack, LMFAO and Linkin Park, Will.i.am. Lil Jon, Blink-182, Laidback Luke. BTS, Louis Tomlinson. Rise Against. Vini Vici and Fall Out Boy. He is known for his remixes of artists like Kid Cudi.
